Schaumburg Restaurant Guide

Nasty, nasty service. Food is average but this place has long had a problem with mean service and my last visit proved they have reached even higher in this regard. They have an all you can eat pork dinner on the weekend but don't you DARE order more pork! Stay away...far away.

About the worst German restaurant in the Chicago area.The food was bland and the server looked like she was afraid her face would krack if she ever smiled.I ordered a half liter German beer which is 0.5L.Mine came in a glass that hat 0.4L stamped on it.When I asked about that she said"But I filled it to the top".Overpriced!

Every time I'm in Chicago, I make a point of eating at the Bavaria Hof; I've eaten there at least a dozen times since discovering it in the summer of 2005. The ambience is nothing special, but the food is great! Having spent 6 months in Germany, I can attest that the dishes are authentic German, from the delicious multi-grain bread to the salad (a sampler plate of cucumber salad, German potato salad, beets, and I think bean salad and tomato salad) to the Hungarian Goulash, Jaeger Schnitzel, Spaetzle and red cabbage. The portions are generous, so I have never had room for dessert and have always taken half my meal home in a container to enjoy for lunch the next day...Bonus!!!

For a casual restaurant, this was very good. We enjoyed our meal a lot, and will definitely go back.

Although we read the reviews my husband and I decided to try it. The food was good better than we expected and the portions were more than enough. Service was a little rough our waitress was brisk and had a rough demeaner with us as well as coughed for the duration of our meal. If it were not for the service I would highly recomend it, otherwise I can merely suggest it for good german food compared to the meals my german grandparents cook.

This restaurant used to be the best german restaurant around. Friendly and great food and portions. We dined with our friends (2 couples)waitress refused to do 2 separate checks. Food was not at all like before, pork roast was tough, portions small (but enough)just not like before. Staff not at all friendly! Find another place.

This is the worst German restaurant we have ever been to. The food is very bland and the service is worse. The management doesn't care about you at all-DON"T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
