Restaurant Description
A Greek owned and managed restaurant has taken a personal and hospitable approach to the neighborhood with a broad and classic Diner Menu including all day full breakfast , juicy burgers and sandwiches, dinner entres and daily home cooked specials, nothing has been missed. Even the wide selection of desserts are all baked in-house. Approx 3000 squ feet can also accomodate small parties and social gatherings in dining area. Full catering available. Coffee shop booth section and full sit down dining area can accomadate large families and groups, takeout and delivery.

My parents took us to this diner when we were visiting NY from overseas. This had to be one if not THE most enjoyable meals we had in queens. We shared a burger with raw onion cheddar cheese and turkey bacon, a sampler platter and a seafood pasta combo. Everything was outstanding! the seafood had just the right amount of pasta, seafood and kick to it. The platter was your basic fried snacks but the wings really stood out. Now after eating the burger at avenue we had a burgers 3 more times at different establishments even at one fancy well known reatarant in manhattan and you know what? we enjoyed this one the best! Dont know exactly why but the meat was juicy and all the flavors of this burger came out well. It was so good in fact that we ordered a few burgers to go before heading out to jfk!

The new owners of this diner have really hit the mark. We have been coming to this spot for over 25 years. There were two previous owners during that time and by far these new kids really know how to serve up a mean menu. Aside from the food being the best its ever been, these three young thirty- somethings have braved the rough economy, bought this store which was shutdown for months because the previous onwner had ran the place to the ground ( way unfrendly as well) and reopened the jewel of the neighborhood. The place is so clean and bright. I have eaten there countless times in the last 2 months always trying abit something different from their elaborate menu. GUYS, THIS PLACE ROCKS. The Roumanian steak - Cooked to perfection, medium rare is how i like it, super tender and juicy ;). Burgers are a succulant 8 ounces and prepared in-house. The EASTSIDE burger kicks butt. Chicken BLT triple decker.. awesome( as well as the paninis ive tried.) ThE LAMB CHOPS!!...rival some of the 5 star restaurants i have eaten in, and lets not forget the Breakfast.. Great omelets, Eggs ur way and Their reg sausages including the turkey are absolutely heavenly. none of those skinny dried up breakfast sausages. These things are huge!! A great big pat on the back to you guys. Some of these dishes I wouldnt attempt to eat in a so-called diner but this place can be a full out 4 star resaurant. Their prices are extremely cheap for the quality food hey provide (shhh)..Oh, and did i mention there gorgeous desserts baked on premises. My waistline is starting to suffer I cant leave the place without trying something out of the 20 or so cakes and tarts on display. And to my fav waitress.. we Love You. Keep up the great work!
