Perfect view with excellent food and service. Prices good for fresh local seafood bought some grouper $9.00 lb and shrimp $8.00 a lb at local fish market so my dinner at Angelo's fried shrimp $15.95 and Broiled grouper $20.95 seems reasonable. I'm sure Red Lobster is cheaper but you get what you pay for and I want the good stuff!!!!!

We ate here the day after Christmas 2009 for lunch. HUGE portions of food. Crackers with delicious garlic butter. Salad was so-so. My husband said the mullet was perfection; brother in law loved the crab cakes; sister loved the boiled shrimp; I enjoyed the fried oysters, but 'ware the menu's small print about broiled seafood - it comes covered in onions and parsley. I sent my scallops back and had the toppings removed. There's a great selection of food, but the prices are HIGH. Seafood usually is, but I expected a smaller, more reasonable lunch portion. The key lime pie (to go) was EXCELLENT. Service was adequate and ambience was okay. Lots of locals there. We went to Panacea specifically for Angelo's. I don't know that I'd drive nearly 3 hours to eat there again. It wasn't THAT great.

Worst piece of fish I have ever eaten. Grocery store cheap crackers! What!? Priced over the top.

If you want a view, go have a drink here and enjoy the water. When your ready to eat go down the road to Panacea and have better food for half the price. The prices here are outrageous, the food had no flavor, they wanted $5 for a homemade pie that tasted like it had just been defrosted.

Big Disappoinment. The salad was right out of a bag. Crackers instedd of hot bread. The stuffed shrimp had no taste and were very bland. My wife's grouper was burned and hidden under the shrimp stuffing which had no flavor. The only thing good was the veiw of the bay, Prices were very high and we were very disappointed. This is a first class facility and the food should go along with it. I have no plans to go back unless things change.

We ate at this restaurant on Father's day this year 2009. The prices were outrageous! The service was poor! The food was very average! I had heard it was so great. What a disappointment! The only thing the restaurant has going for it, is it's view. Needs good management and a good chef. It is more in line with Denny's or Big Boy's, not even close to being a top notch restaurant. In my opinion, any review over a 2 is not being fair to the people driving by and wanting a good dinner at a fair price. You don't have to pay through the nose to get good seafood. For example, try the Coastal restaurant down the road. Good food at fair prices.

I have to be honest, it was not good. I have to say this so maybe they can make improvements. We are FREQUENT restaurant goers and this was WAY over priced. Even the kids meals were really expensive. The crackers sorta shocked me, and then the butter was warm. If they lowered their prices a bit, then it might be worth it. Because the food is ok to good. But with those prices I expect incredible food. The atmosphere is very nice though. Maybe that is why people like it. Plus, I noticed alot of the locals know each other there etc... so I guess it is the place to be. In comparison to restaurants from NY and Tampa... it was terrible.

We were in town from Orlando to visit the Gulf Specimen Lab. We had read about Angelo's and its fine reputation. We dined in the 3-4 hour and were majorly disappointed. There were containers of tarter sauce on all the tables at room temperature. The butter served w/crackers was so warm it was crusty on top and separated. For the prices on the menu, one would expect some nice warm rolls or a nice dip. To say that this placed is overpriced and overrated is a huge understatement. We paid $12 for a kids meal (popcorn shrimp). It was nothing special. The crab/corn bisque was mostly corn, unlike what the server had said. The black beans and rice was served with a pickled-tasting saffron rice, which was promptly returned. We passed it around for everyone to taste and decided after seeing the tarter sauce and the butter it must be spoiled. Server was all smiles and very nice. Hostess was not. I've had much better meals for much better price. I don't mind spending money for a nice meal, but there was absolutely no value in our experience. Buyer beware!

Unlike the folks from PA, we love going to Angelo's. If you want good fresh seafood, you have to pay for it.
Never had a problem with being seated or service.

Outstanding seafood! Beautiful view and sunsets. Try the Greek Grouper, it is amazing! Grouper prepared with greek dressing, feta, and chopped tomatoes...Mmmmmmm. I will be back when in the Tallahassee area it is worth the trip.

The food was OK, the service was uneven, the ambience was casual and loud. What really suprised me was how expensive it was. This is more a family than fine dining restaurant.

The wait after being seated was very long. When I finally order a glass of wine and received it 35 minutes had passed. The tables next to me already had their salad. (they came in 15 minutes after me) I must say that the food when I finally received it was perfect. Greek dressing is a must and the Oyster dish was very nice. My note to you don't go as a single woman alone if you want good service. Families are very catered to.
