We decided to try a new place for dinner and found a sheet of coupons for Amore Pizza... so we figured we would give it a shot. The coupon was for two pies and a 1.5liter bottle of coke for $20. When we got there, we saw that the special was now $24 but asked if they would honor the $20 coupon (since there was no expiration date or any other conditions or limitations on it)... The waitress checked and said that they would.

When the check came, they rang it up as $24 and would not honor the $20. The waitress only apologized and said that they would not honor it and made up some story about being confused.

It was a small dollar amount so that's not the issue... A simple "sorry, we can't honor that coupon" initially would have been fine. I am writing this review just on Principle (and I see that I am not the first one to do so). I've never felt compelled to write a review of a restaurant before but felt this was the least I could do in return for being lied to.

Also, so as to not be called "childish" for giving a poor review... The service was poor (the waitress was too busy socializing) and the pizza.. well, I've had frozen pizza's that tasted better (e.g. Digiorno's). Amore's pizza is bland and very dry. Both pies were the same so I doubt this was a fluke.

If you want Pizza, do yourself a favor and go to Deannas, Mezza Luna or the Italian Village. I can't comment on Amore's non-pizza items, but would not be willing to try them at this point.

Food was terribly over-priced. We had a decent waiter who was attentive, but barely spoke English. I guess they were promoting the busboys to waiters, figuring it's cheaper help....but service is really sacrificed. I asked the waiter a couple of que ...
