You get top quality steak, tender and cooked perfectly, with flavor that some of the high-priced steakhouses would love to serve you for $40 or more (plus $6-$14 per side). You get this piece of heaven for less than $20, including 2 pretty darned good sides. It is served on a paper plate. Take my word for it – once you take the first bite of this steak, you will not care if it was served on a paper napkin (unless, of course, you are borderline neurotic, in which case I have a suggestion - just don't eat the plate)!

My daughter and I love spicy food, but we both ordered the regular, just to set the standard. Both of us have the reaction that we will probably never order the spicy version because it simply can not be any better. It has a very subtle spicy taste (not hot, just flavor) that makes you want another bite.

Taste the wines, but order the Cabernet (Becker Iconoclast) with the steak – I am no wine snob (or even much of a wine drinker), but it goes so well together, you will think it's part of the dish. My daughter is pretty well educated on the wine world. She raved about this pairing (as such people like to call it).

Others in the party had the catfish and the grilled shrimp – both pronounced as excellent.

I would describe the atmosphere and service as being like your mom would try to do for you after being away from home for a while – very homey!

We drove from Clear Lake and Porter for this meal, and all feel that the drives were well worth it. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

This is a great old place!! They specialize in Texas Wines and are more than happy to let you try them out before you choose one. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. My steak was cooked perfectly, very tender and juicy. We will definetely be back!!

We love this old, rustic place. The food is great and the service is very friendly. The ribeye is our favorite. The beer was ice cold and the juke box has some great old music. Will be a regular for us.

Great Texas ambience. Building is like an old barn with a great patio, good country music on the juke box, and Texas hospitality. We had the ribeye which was very good. Order the "spicy" version for a tasty kick. Steak came with salad and baked potato bar. Overall, simple food done well with a very friendly staff and a down home comfortable feeling. The place is a bit hidden off of Cypress North Houston, but it is worth the trip. Great small businesses like this need to be supported!
