I went to Take Five last night with my son and grandson. Being vegetarian, I was a little leery as I was told that the restaurant was pretty much a meat and potato place. As I do eat fish, I was happy to see a decent variety of fish on the menu. I ordered the lobster ravioli for $19.00. Sad to say, I was totally dissapointed in the meal. The ravioli was tasteless, the scallops (although large and tender) had not had the white muscle and membrane removed, the shrimp was tough, and there were a few pieces of what I think was lobster but I'm not sure that were so tough I couldn't even chew them. So...needless to say, I won't be going there again.

I had a wonderful meal, service, and the price was more than fair for the amount of quality food that I received. I asked for my Prime Rib to be cooked Medium ,and it came very Rare, but was quickly corrected by the waitstaff and Chef. Better to come undercooked than overcooked in my opinion regarding Beef at least:) A good soup and salad bar came with the meal as well ,although I think the previous owners had more choices in the salad bar area. Overall , I'd give them 4 of 5 stars for my dining experience on Sunday , 1/16/11 and I also purchased a gift certificate for a friend while I was there.

We planned a funeral reception for 65 which was arranged with very little notice. The restaurant was conveniently located to the Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Agawam, MA. The owner, who is not a new owner but a son of the family that has run the restaurant for years, met with us personally to plan the dinner. He offered excellent advice on the menu and could accommodate any special dietary needs that might come up last minute. The food, especially the prime rib, was cooked to perfection and praised by all who attended. Our expectations were exceeded which included the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. Additionally, Frankie gave us a great price and allowed us to bring in our own music for the dinner. We have no reservations in recommending this establishment for any similar type function. Thanks to Frankie and his wonderful staff!!

First time there last weekend. Vegetable soup had little bits of meat in it as did the marinara sauce. Not expected. Pasta was undercooked. Chicken was a little tough and chewy. The glass of house wine was undrinkable. My husband's seafood was....ok. Very expensive...not a good value. Very disappointing and would never go back.

Let me begin by saying that I have been to Take 5 a few times before and my husband and I really like it. Now, this last time was the worst experience I have ever had. Our waitress was AWFUL. She did not introduce herself, never cleared our plates until we asked her to because there was no room left on the table. My husband asked for a knife to cut his prime rib and was given one OBVIOUSLY off of another diner's plate because it was COVERED in barbecue sauce. My 5 year old daughter's chicken tenders came with cocktail sauce smeared all over the side of her plate. How DISGUSTING can you get? My husband has been sick since we left there yesterday. I asked for a manager and was told he was cooking. So when I got home I called and asked for a manager and was told he was still cooking and would not take my call. I called again the next day and he told me that it was not his food that made my husband sick and hung up on me with no apology or anything. I will NEVER RETURN to that restaurant and any one that I talk to will hear about my horrible experience! $94 for food that was GROSS and DIRTY! WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!

I had a gift card to take 5, so I went back thinking how bad could it be. The last time I was there was almost a year ago and it had changed so much. Well, it was even worse than I could ever image this time. My dining partner ordered baked stuffed shrimp and baked potato. The shrimp were not fresh and smelled that way and then to cover that up they were drown in lemon. The stuffing was inedible. The potato was definately reheated in the microwave. Yes the salad bar is a sant few bowls of green that are just ready to turn. The soup! Oh, that soup was just wrong! My own meal was kind of scary too. I ordered the lobster ravioli w/vodka sauce. Why did it have peas? There was a few nice big sea scallops in there, but the same problem with the shrimp and the pasta was mushy. Even my coffee was crappy. I went to the Summer House for an ice cream after. I wasn't going to chance dessert after all that. Plus, I was still hungery. I should have just started out at the Summer House in Southwick. They have great hot dogs and onion rings. Never, never again will I eat at Take 5. Not even if somebody pays me. My favorite restaurant is dead. I'm heartbroken.

I recently just went in there for lunch, and the waitress i had was great i have the same one every time i go in there. It seems like she knows her stuff pretty well. I ordered the prime rib special medium which came out rare, so i had to send it back and when it came back out it was just too fatty and over cooked. I didnt say anything because at that time the waitress was getting busy and all i could hear was a man that just kept yelling in the back at them. i felt bad and didnt want to upset the girl more than she already looked... the food used to be so much better and by the rates of what i heared their poor employees must have to deal with a lot of stress going in to work everyday having to feel like they will get screamed at over i think it was bout a piece of tomato or lettuce or something so stupid but i wont ever return again because of how bad i feel for who works for such mean people in the back.

WITH A BAKED POTATO WHEN IT ARRIVED THE PRIME RIB WAS HALF FAT AND RAW I MEAN RAW THE POTATO WAS DRY ON THE INSIDE LIKE IT WAS COOKED IN THE MICROWAVE, AND WARM NOT HOT. MY WIFE HAD THE FISH WHICH WAS SERVED ALSO FROM THE MICROWAVE IT SEEMED.THE SALAD BAR I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO THAT RABBITS WOULD GO HUNGRY ON IT.

Having been a long time customer of this restaurant, I am saddened to say that nothing could make us return. Fools that we are we allowed ourselves to be burned by the new owners 3 times. We wanted to believe that they would return it to it's good days. We were lucky enough to be waited on by the one remaining server. All the others are long gone. The Prime Rid was heated (very noticably) in the microwave. I then tried the pork. After waiting 45 mins for our meals, my pork was raw. My husbands steak was raw instead of medium, and then cooked to look like a shoe sole when we asked to have it cooked alittle longer. The salad bar is no longer anything special. Really sad to see a place that held many good memories go down the tubes. Again I have to say that the one asset still on board is the one remaining waitress. She knows who she is.

I will never return and that is the consensus of most people. Since the new owner took over it has gone down hill. I would never recommend it. The brunch is obviously frozen foods that comes in a box and old leftovers. The staff is loud, obnoxious and half asleep, the food is over priced and terrible. The restaurant is noticeably dirty. I have nothing good to say about this restaurant. It will take new ownership and a cleaning house of the staff for me or anyone I know to ever return. Too bad the old owners left, it is sad to see a place with such history go so downhill.
