Down the street from the Filipino Consulate was this jem of a restaurant. I heard about this place through one of my friends who had been to the restaurant before and told me to go here when I get my passport renewed. I was not disappointed at all.
There were so many choices, and ordering is similar to any other filipino restaurant. 1 or 2 Ulams or items and rice or noodles. My mother who is very picky about her food due to health reasons found no problems choosing from the items. I bought her the fried milk fish and the ginasang sayote, which both reminded her of her aunt's cooking in the Philippines. I, whom does not have health problems, got the lechon kawalii and the sinigang na baboy. It was really good and crunchy, not soft like other places. The food was great, and the service was really friendly. All in all, I was pleased with my experience, and I am definitely going to tell my friends to eat here, when they visit the consulate!
