It has been quite a ride and it is still going strong. From the non-stop renovations to the continued refinements of our vast menu, it has been very busy around here.
If this building could talk, I wonder what it would say?
One hundred and thirty years of people coming and going. From the end of the Civil War, through both World Wars. From President Abraham Lincoln right up to George W. Bush, its history still amazes. We've made so many friends and have had to say goodbye to others as they moved to other parts of the country. It is like a big family around here. We hope you would like to become part of that family!
Our menu reflects the history of the neighborhood. We've kept the Irish pub feel that has been here since the beginning of the Ruffstone Tavern as well as its pub-style seafood menu. But we've also added an extensive Italian menu with great appetizers, entrees, and a fine wine list that complements the delicious food. You will find our portions to be generous, our service to be friendly, and our atmosphere relaxed.
All our food is cooked to order, so it takes a little longer but it is worth the wait. It is gourmet food in a historic tavern. So sit back and enjoy the Ruffstone Tavern, the food and its cozy atmosphere, and please come often.
