Crash Landing was beautifully remodeled and serves a complete menu, including some items common only to fancy eateries. The Crash Landing was humorous names by the owner who is well known for having a scarlet biplane that was “crashed� into was originally placed on the roof of the Restaurant. Recently the authentic old aircraft blew off in a storm and the staff is working on replacing it.
The Crash Landing's menu ranges from finger foods, appetizers, salads, soups and sandwiches, including the Angus beef burger. Other favorites are the ribs, fresh seafood, including Mahi-Mahi and Lobster; and beef entrees with Filet Mignon and New York Strip steak.
The Crash Landing represents fine dining in a casual atmosphere, only a short drive away, for reasonable prices. The kitchen's philosophy is to make everything themselves and not rely on any convenience food service items. The menu features six or seven specials in addition to the regular fare every day, and a happy hour is available 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays. The entire menu is available for carryout. The recently renovated banquet room that seats up to 100 people is very popular. In the summer the banquet room also connects to the outdoor patio, providing even larger, convenient space for special occasions.
