Tony's Country Cooking on 6th ave has good food at a good price. I go there to treat my taste buds to their good home style country cooking. If you compared restaurants-they are similar to a Cracker Barrel or Dennys-but with a personal touch and alot more country-if u know what i mean. They serve breakfast anytime of the day and have a big selection of just about anything you desire to choose from to eat. They have three locations now and have been opened in Decatur for over 6 years. Nice place, friendly employees and very clean. Try it-you will like as much as we do. We go there about 3 or 4 times a week.

Tony's is a place where, if you want home, country-style, old-fashioned, Southern cooking, you can find it here well-prepared and reasonably priced. The wait staff is older and not trendy, just ordinary people doing their jobs with the right mix of courtesy and sassiness that makes them personable. My favorite dish is their meat loaf lunch special and their green beans with ham. Some good eating, here.
Tony's is at the heart of some controversy as they protest the new smoking-ban ordinance in Decatur, Alabama. Business has slacked off since Tony's was a smoker's place to be (designated areas only), but these people are pushing on with really nice food, good service and a clean place to sit down over a casual and quick lunch that tastes like Momma made it.
I highly recommend them, and their new location in Moulton, Alabama at the old location of the Stockyard Steakhouse.
