A friendly, family-run business with a comfortable setting and atmosphere. Very good hickory-smoked ribs (regular and baby-backs), chicken, catfish, whiting, flounder. Barbecue sauce, side dishes (collard greens, baked beans, etc.) and desserts are all made on the premises. All meats are smoked on the premises and for a small fee, they will smoke meat for you. They also offer normal fast-food fare such as hamburgers and hot dogs. Their breakfast offerings include typical Southern goodies such as real sausage, grits, excellent pancakes but unfortunately no waffles! I have sampled most of the above over a period of months and have always left feeling satisfied. This is one of the few places in the Waterbury area where I can get the kind of good Southern food I grew up on in Virginia.
