Baton Rouge Restaurant Guide

The first impression is everything. We arrived for a 7:00 reservation 5 minutes early. Our table was not ready. The manager(I think is the owner), was so busy chit chatting with his staff,(female), that we were forced to wait about two minutes for the table (the dining room was about 25 % full. The prices were expensive, I went ten years ago and it was great steak, mediocre wine list. The chairs were very uncomfortable. They were about 25 years old left over from the original pizza hut that used to be there. Hey Dajonel! Listen UP, If you wanna play with the big dogs, and charge what you charge, you better b e able to deliver the food quality and the service to boot! Not to mentionafter dropping 700 bucks for 6 people sitting in pizza hut chairs, iceburgh lettuce for salads, a descent filet, ice cream desserts with a cocktail is way over priced. Next time I will go to Ruth Chris, get the comfort, the prime beef, great wine list, and no condescending manager at the door. How have they lasted this long??

This is my favorite place to go and eat. I love going to Dajonels. I have been going since 1996. I love the service, ambience and the service. You are never rushed and have plenty of time to eat each thing you ordered before they bring you something else that you ordered. I love it.
