Acapulco Joe's has been my favorite restaurant in Indy for many years, however I ate there recently after a years absence and will never, ever go back. It was filthy. The windows were dirty, but the menues were so filthy I didn't want to touch them. I asked for clean menues and was given some that were equally dirty with food smeared all over them. I just left, surely the owners or managers can see the filth? Sadly, this place doesn't even deserve a one star rating now.

It seems like every other time i go they get my order wrong. I like the food but its getting annoying to drive home and then finding out that my meal is wrong and then having to drive back to get the right meal.

When ever we are in Indy we go out of our way to go to Joes. It is not taco bell, so if you're into that junk, don't go. Don't know where the bad reviews come from but they may as well just go to Taco Bell.
The food is great, we have never had any problems with the wait staff (we don't get drunk and obnoxious) and the prices are reasonable.

i've not written many reviews, but this place is horrible. we went today, the service was horrible. so horrible we tried to complain, but there was no manager or even asst. manager. we got upset and then they CALLED THE COPS. Then we got chewed out by the OWNER! HORRIBLE MANAGMENT!

The worst I've had. Everything is covered in this glop and you can't tell what you're eating... burito, enchilada, ? The salsa is just lumpy catchup.

I just ate at Acapulco Joe’s “Mexican Food” restaurant. It was the worse I have every had in my life. Yuck.

Excellent Mexican food. You don't go away hungry. Well worth the wait if you go at peak times. Price is reasonable. We go at least once a month.

I know this is an Indy institution, but its yucky. Just walk toward the Indy Athletic club and smell around the kitchen area...nightmares.
